The Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea helps resist aging with its polyphenols—instrumental in preventing over-oxidation in the body. It also helps in losing weight as it makes fat burn quicker. The antioxidants in the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea also have a hand in preventing cancer and clear away internal body heat.
The birthplace of the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea is at Xiping Town, Anxi County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Nowadays, the main producers of Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea are based at the inner mountain towns of Gan De, Chang Keng, Xiang Hua, Jian Dou, and the outer mountain towns of Xi Ping, Long Juan, Da Ping, Jin Gu, and Hu Tou.
Mrs. Liu is one of the most renowned tea makers in the Xi Ping area, with preference to the bright and fragrance versatility of the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea. According to her, it’s important to fully absorb the experience that drinking tea provides, as it’s not just a simple and average beverage. Appreciating the culture of tea is a form of respect to its long history, and he wants many more to come to know the art of tea.
This Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea comes from the Liu’s Tian Tian Hao (it means happy everyday) Farm— an area based at the outer mountain towns of the Fujian Province and the place where the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea was originally made. This type of tea only uses the leaves of the plant, unlike others that also use the buds. This tea is harvested during spring. Although there is the slight issue of highway construction, the locals in this area continue to preserve the culture and environment of the place.

According to legends, deep in the Anxi County was an abandoned temple with an iron state of Guanyin. This temple was in terrible condition, so a poor farmer called Mr. Wei decided to clean the temple and light incense to worship the Guanyin. After consistently maintaining the temple, Guanyin came to his dreams and told him about a treasure in the cave. Mr. Wei saw a shoot in the cave and planted it in his tea fields. Mr. Wei named this tea after the Iron Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Since I get it, I drink it every morning as it brings me some peacefulness.
It is very gentle to the system. I feel very comfortable after drinking this and I will drink it every day instead of coffee. If anyone is finding soething to replace coffee. It would be the best choice!
I have tried this in Fujian once and I have been looking for it in China town. But for some reasons the ones in China town are quite expensive. This is the most authentic Oolong I've ever tried.
OMG BEST OOLONG! I'm usually not a loose leaf tea person but my friend recommended me to try this so I did. It's amazing. I like the floral flavor it contains.
The teas are good but everyone should be awared of the shelf life. I got the box and noticed that there are only 8 months left. I think it might be a bit too short.
