Direct from the origin
Biluochun originates from the Dongting Mountains in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province in China. The elevation of 300m to 1000m above sea level is ideal for growing these delicate looking, precious green tea leaves.
Based on chronicles from the Qing Dynasty, the Kangxi Emperor had a visit to Lake Tai and was told by the villagers of the scary fragrance emitted by the tea leaves. Not convinced, the emperor decided to give it a better name, “green snail spring”.
Farmer - Ms. Wan
Ms. Wang is dedicated to making sure the teas produced in their farm are pure and high quality. Her dedication shows as she wakes as early as 6am to prepare her daily activities. At 7am, Ms. Wang is out plucking the leaves and fresh buds. “It takes me about 6 hours but I do not mind. The aroma that welcomes me everyday is motivating and I can’t help but feel proud of my work because I am keeping the tea culture alive.”

This Biluochun tea is cultivated in Dongtingshan Tea Garden, right at the heart of Dongting Mountains located in Suzhou’s Lake Tai. The Dongting Mountains natural reserve boasts of a planting environment where tea and fruit trees grow and bloom all year long. This plantation is about 900 meters above sea level, making the temperature perfect for growing tea leaves. Its fruit trees grow and bloom all year long together with the Biluochun tea, giving it a fragrant and fruity aroma.

History of Biluochun Green Tea
Bilouchun, which literally means green snail spring, was originally called Xia Sha Ren Xiang. According to legends, a tea picker ran out of space in her basket and was compelled to put the tea leaves inside her clothes. The warmth of her body caused the leaves to emit a certain rich aroma.

Good For Morning
I like to drink teas in the morning with my bagel(with honey butter), the tea helps me to start the day fresh. I have been drinking the normal black tea in a tea bag and wanted to try something new, this Biluochun green tea is the tea that I would enjoy everymorning.

Wonderful green tea
It's really one of the best green teas I've ever tasted! I'm not exaggerating. I went to Japan 2 months ago and I bought many green teas and matcha teas back to the UK. But most of them the taste is too strong for me personally and I don't really like it. They're now still in my kitchen...If you like strong tea this tea may not be your choice. But if you prefer something milder, I would suggest you to try this one out. I'm planning to get more from them!

I'm usually a coffee person, but my friend recommended this type of tea to me and I really enjoyed drinking it. I like its mellow and comfortable taste the most. Simply put, it tastes like tea (without anything added, it's also emphasized in their website).

Natural tea with a nice package
I like teas that are natural. Borntea definitely satisifies me!! I haven't tried this type of tea before, it's a little bitter (so don't steep for too long) BUT it feels so natural. I also received a hand-written letter from the team. Loved the package and the authenicity.

I'M BLOWN AWAY
This is my first loose leaf green tea I bought online and I'm blown away by how much better it tastes than the grocery store tea bags I've been drinking. Maybe it's fresher or maybe it's a different type of green tea, i'm not exactly sure, but it's so very nice. Now i'm wondering about other varieties of loose leaf green teas and what I've been missing for so long! :-)
