Longjing is harvested in the Lion Peak Mountain in Longjing Village, Hangzhou in China’s Zhejiang Province. The right geographical environment including right amount of rainfall resources around West Lake have contributed much to the growth of Longjing tea
Longjing, literally means Dragon Well, was given its name because early teamakers say that getting water from a famous spring called Dreaming of a Tiger Spring makes Longjing taste best. Water from the well is said to be dense and after rain, the dense water tends to float and form what seems like a moving dragon.
Farmer - Mr. Hung
Mr. Hung’s family is one of the lucky families at the famous Lion Peak Mountain, who make only 300 kilograms of this goodness per year, and they are all processed by hand. Together with his family and workers, they take good care of their trees to make sure the tea plants are always fresh and healthy.

History of Longjing (Dragon Well)
When Emperor Qianlong went on a holiday to the Lion Peak Mountain (Shi Feng Shan), he was served with a cup of Longjing tea at the Hugong Temple. He was impressed that soon, Longjing green tea was given the status of ‘Imperial Tea’ by the Kangxi Emperor.
Another legendary story said that Emperor Qianlong had been enamored by the movement of the tea ladies who were harvesting the tea leaves. He brought some tea leaves when he went to visit his mother, Empress Dowager Chongqing, in Beijing. When the Emperor and the Empress met, she noticed the smell of the leaves coming out from Emperor Qianlong sleeves. He had it immediately brewed and served for his mother who was ill and weak at the time.

A LONG TIME FAVORITE OF MINE
A long time favorite of mine. It has a subtle sweetness that is very flattering to the general green flavor. It's very smooth. Even the feel of the leaves is silky! Btw it is very beautiful when the leaves flow in my glass-made teapot.

RIGHT AMOUNT OF GRASSY
This is one of my favorite green teas and it is consistently requested by tea-drinking friends. The flavors are bold but light without being too 'grassy.' It is suitable for all level of tea drinkers.

A little expensive
This tea is a little expensive tbh. But I did some google searching and it's actually much less expensive than other brands. I don't know why this tea is pricy but I really like the taste of it. I'd order it again (perhaps not so soon because of the price, but I will, after I finish this box)

Good stuff. I have mostly tried blended green teas in my country, and got them from supermarket (or David's tea). And this is actually the first time I try real Chinese tea. I have not been to China before, perhaps that's the reason why I want to try. And this tea definitely doesn't let me down. I also got white tea. Loved them both.
