Farmland - Shao Tea Garde
This Dianhong Black Tea hails from the Shao Tea Garden in Feng Qing, Yunnan Province. The plantation has an elevation of 1800m, and the tea leaves are harvested at the end of April every year just in time for spring. This area has a high vegetation index, and you can go hundreds of kilometres without seeing any form of pollution. The fertile soil contributes to the freshness and quality of the Dianhong Tea.

History of Dianhong Black Tea
1938, three years before Pearl Harbour bombing, when most of the Chinese coastal ports and tea regions in the east and south east had already been occupied since the Japanese invasion, the Chinese Nationalist ( aka KMT ) government retreated to the southwest in Sichuan. Alongside with the hundreds of tasks for defence and re-organisation, a couple of tea teams were sent to the neighbouring province — Yunnan — to explore setting up of a black tea production base for export to replace those in occupied Fujian, Jiangxi and Zhejiang. The resistance needed as much revenue as they could get in order to operate.
One of the locations the team went was Feng Qing in Lincang where historically had been the base for tea plant diversity and abundance. Myths had it that the first black tea made in that location was instantly popular and exported. However, it was likely to be more an experiment with cultivars and methodology. The production size was small. Nevertheless, that was the birth of Yunnan black tea — Dianhong.

NICE PACKAGING WITH GREAT TASTE!
Nice packaging with great taste! Love this tea and for the price its even better! I was a teavana tea drinker myself but because the tea there is so expensive and I wanted to find a better alternative to the large amount of tea I drink in a day. So this tea becomes a better choice for me. And I could steep their tea for many times, for only one individual inner pack.

SWTICH FROM GREEN TO BLACK
I usually drink green tea in the morning but I was planning to swtich to black tea because it has a little more caffeine. I like this black tea because the taste is so pure and strong. The earthy flavor makes me awake.

Drink it like it is
I'm from UK and I usually add milk in my English breakfast tea. I won't recommend adding milk into this Dianhong tea. Drink it like it is is the best thing.

No sour taste
As far as I know, one way to classify good quality tea is to test if there is any sour taste. This black tea has no any sour taste but some sweet taste. I like it and I can re-steep it many times. What more can I ask?

I have lived in UK for few years so I drink a lot of black tea. This black tea is one of the best among all. Worth to try!
