Green Tea - Dragon Well (Longjing) Tea

Regular price $39.00

100g/3.5oz: approx. 80 x 240ml/8oz-cup

Longjing is China's most famous and premium green tea. Authentic Longjing tea (known as Dragon Well) must be grown in Zhejiang province. It was one of the tributes to royal family in China.

It is revered for its rich yet refreshing flavour and the fragrance of lush spring grass. The size of the leaves are even and the color is in yellow and green. This tea has a bit of toasted wheat aroma. It tastes smooth and mellow with sweetness.

Low Caffeine

Picked in Spring 2017

Refresh the mind

It contains much less caffeine so it can keep the mind sharp without having the crash that comes after drinking high caffeine drinks.

Relieve stress

The L-theanine found in this tea reduces neural stress responses and promotes relaxation.

Support weight control

It boosts the breakdown of fat and blocks the formation of fat cells due to high levels of ingredients thought to be active on human fat cells.

  • Authentic origin - Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China

A region with cool, moist air, rocky mountains, acidic soil, and dramatic temperature fluctuations—practically designed for growing good green tea.

  • Aroma

Raw, very raw. It’s like immersing yourself in a deep forest. And you would understand why it’s a specified tribute for royal family.

  • Loose leaves

Fresh with minimum post-processing, so natural elements and flavours are perserved.

    • Many, many re-steeping times

Can steep for about 5-7 times for the same amount, much more than all other loose leave tea brands (also, vs 1-2 times for tea bags).

    • Completely whole leaf teas

Skillfully harvested leaves aren't broken during production. Whole leaves allow water to flow through, enhancing flavors and aromas.

    • No nasties

Nothing is added - No added colours. No artificial flavours. No preservatives. No additives.

    • More nutritious

Older tea trees in China naturally retain vitamins and minerals during growth cycles, yielding high-quality and nutrient-rich teas.

NEVER GETS BITTER

It's one of my favorite green teas. Nice flavor and not overwhemingly grassy. Does not get bitter even if you over-steep it. Will definitely buy again. If you like raw green tea, you should try it without a doubt.

NICE TEA

Nice tea in every aspects. However as an employee on fixed income the cost is up in the luxury range I cannot justify on a regular basis. I drink another green tea - Biluochun reguarly instead now.

RAW AND NOT BITTER AT ALL

Dragonwell is a great basic green tea. It's more expensive than some of the other good greens, but it basically never gets bitter. I used it as celebration tea here.

Right amount of grassy

This is one of my favorite green teas and it is consistently requested by tea-drinking friends. The flavors are bold but light without being too 'grassy.' It is suitable for all level of tea drinkers.
